We aim to provide a range of rules and rule types to best meet the needs to the 6mm wargamer. With this in mind we have created our own rules systems, A.G.S.
A.G.S. is the system that allows wargames to be fought during any period.
The rulebook contains the basic game principles, movement, melee, morale, chain of command, terrain and so on as well as more advanced rules. These rules will be the core for all A.G.S. products. The rulebook itself does not provide specific rules for every type of troop or every battlefield condition to be found during the history of war, it concentrates on troops during the black powder era; English civil war, American civil war and so on, games of this nature can be fought using the rulebook alone as no supplements are needed in order to play.
A.G.S. is designed to be played at the battalion scale; the majority of games will have companies as the standard unit size (about 100 men). One miniature represents one man. This means that what you see is what you get. None of this having 10 miniatures behind a small cottage on the table that can’t be seen even though with a scale of 1:10 those 10 men are actually 100 and are much larger than the terrain that conceals them. The standard infantry base size has 12 miniatures on it, 8 of these bases makes up a standard infantry company. There is no reason why this one base of 12 miniatures can’t represent a company or a battalion or a brigade or what ever you want it to be.
The rules are flexible.
They are your rules.
There are currently in process a Napoleonic supplement and an Egyptian supplement, with many more to follow. These supplements will contain a brief history, rules specific for that period; such as troop types, tactics used, army lists, uniform examples etc. thus allowing for a more realistic game to be played.
